Lincoln's Gym Class

The fall session of Lincoln's gym class is coming to an end. Today is one of the last 2 classes left. As we look back on his progress since he first started the class, our Lincoln has definitely come out of his shell. He wasn't necessarily shy in the beginning but he was a bit cautious about doing anything on the equipment. He soon grew out of his hesitations and became very excited to go to gym class. Before it would take him about 10 minutes to warm-up to the class (which is kind of long considering the class was only 40 minutes long). He even had his good friend Julia in class with him to keep him company. It was near the midpoint of the classes that he removed all inhibitions and once we got in the door to class, he'd quickly get his shoes off and run for the gym equipment. He enjoyed playing on most of the gym equipment, his favorite being jumping off the highest object he could find and hiding in objects. He definite gets a good workout in the class with all the running around he did. If the class was set up like an obstacle course, he'd probably be running through it non-stop until class was done. So great to seeing him having so much fun in the class and to see him grow in his level of confidence in himself and his adventurous side. The only problem is that now he thinks that he can climb and jump off everything including all the furniture in our house. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy... boys will be boys!
