Today was the last day before winter break at Leyton's preschool. The class has a special party during their usual snack time and then they exchanged Christmas cards/treats. The kids are so open-hearted at this age. Lincoln is one of the younger siblings who often visits their class, especially during special occasions like today. Whenever he is there, all the kids are always welcoming of him and go out of their way to say "hi" to him. Today was an extra treat for Lincoln because he got to join Leyton's class on the playground. Our little 2 1/2 year old was having a great old time playing with the "big" kids (4-5 year olds). It definitely made for a nice ending to school before winter break.

Santa made his special visit to our house again with 27 little ones anxiously waiting to see him. It was a house full of joy and laughter that just makes the holidays for us! There's nothing like seeing the excitement and joy on a child's face. There were plenty of ornament crafts made my the children, some of which actually made it to our tree! This is by far, my most favorite gathering at our house every year! If we could just bottle up all the joy and happiness and share it with those who need it, that would be the greatest gift of all!

Super Bowl XLII

Well the Chargers didn't make the Super Bowl, but we still decided to have a Super Bowl party. We were joined by our family and friends, totalling approximately 35 people (includes 16 kids, adults barely out numbered them). The game was most exciting in the 4th quarter and amazingly the Giants pulled out a win.

Unfortunately it was raining most of the day, so the kids couldn't play outside. But no worries, there was plenty to play with in the house!
